Share A Classic This Christmas!

Whew! November was quite a ride! I loved reading something different every day and then sharing a few thoughts with you. For December, I have another set of exciting reviews planned. This December, in honor of the Advent and Christmas Season, I’m going to review three Bibles. Because, what better way to celebrate the incarnation of Christ than to read about it in Scripture?

My first review is of an old classic. Perhaps you read this one growing up. That’s right, today we are taking a closer look at The Beginner’s Bible.

A snap of my favorite story. Side note: also my favorite Christmas carol. Have you ever heard all the verses? So fun to sing in a minor key!

I love The Beginner’s Bible for many reasons: the bright colors, the easy to read text, and the dictionary included at the end in case your child doesn’t understand some of the words. This children’s Bible is a good way to introduce God’s Word to your family and it would make a great Christmas gift.

Here’s an idea — buy one for a grandparent in your life and ask them to read the stories to their grandkids. The bonds they build as they read God’s Word together are invaluable.

Do you have a copy (maybe a really beat-up copy?!) of this classic on your shelves?
