Behold the Lamb of God

To continue the Christmas theme from last week (read last week’s review HERE), today let’s talk about Behold the Lamb of God. My good hubby recommended this book to me months ago and I remain a little ashamed to admit that I avoided reading it. This year one of my reading goals is to read one non-fiction book out of every six books I read. Finally heeding my husband’s urging - and in an effort to fulfill my own dumb goal - I picked up Behold the Lamb of God, and I'm so glad I did. (For those of you who are curious, my current book count stands thusly: Non-fiction - 5, Fiction - 23.)

In Behold the Lamb of God, Russ Ramsey presents an Advent narrative full of rich prose and deep meaning. He carries the reader through the Old Testament and into the New, weaving the prophecies about Jesus into a picture of the coming Messiah. Readers gain a fuller understanding of the way Scripture fits together to tell the whole story of Christ.

I encourage you to put Behold the Lamb of God on your Christmas wish list, or come over and borrow our copy, I’m sure my hubby won’t mind!
