Live. Save. Spend. Repeat.
When Live. Save. Spend. Repeat. arrived in my mailbox, I eagerly opened it up, expecting to find money saving tips and tricks but not much else. To my surprise and delight, I found so much more.
Kim Anderson and her husband paid off $93,000 in mortgage debt in two years on one income. Now she wants to help others do the same. Kim guides her readers through taking an honest look at where their finances stand right now, today, then making an honest budget, and then setting some momentum milestones. She also discusses the areas which usually cause people to get off track in their financial plans, and the ways they can get motivated again.
I’m not going to lie, I really didn’t know if this book would benefit me at all. My family and I are already quite thrifty, and we don’t have any outstanding debts. Boy, was I surprised. I finished the book and found myself so inspired to make changes that I wrote it all down to hold myself accountable. Reading chapter 6 “Momentum Milestone Success Factors” was especially helpful. Kim talks about setting goals that are reachable, while still being a challenge, and then celebrating each goal met.
While Live. Save. Spend. Repeat. addresses women in its wording, everyone can gain something from its pages. The budget setting chapter can get a little technical, but if you power through, I promise it will be worth every minute spent.
