We’re at a point in human history where you can call someone “friend” without ever meeting them face to face. Technology brings our world closer than ever. Today’s book review is a review of a book a friend of mine wrote - a friend I only know online. I met Xochitl Dixon through a contest wherein I was attempting to win a prize. Instead I won a friend. Give Me Kindness and Jesus

Okay, confession time. I didn’t actually read the entire Daily Acts of Kindness today. But I have been reading it every morning to my family around the breakfast table. It is not an overstatement to say that we’re glad we have this book. I appreciate that the focus is on our kindness as an outgrowth of our faith walk and our love for Jesus. To me, kindness and Jesus should always be linked.

Behold the Lamb of God

My good hubby recommended this book to me months ago and I remain a little ashamed to admit that I avoided reading it. This year one of my reading goals is to read one non-fiction book out of every six books I read. Finally heeding my husband’s urging - and in an effort to fulfill my own dumb goal - I picked up Behold the Lamb of God, and I'm so glad I did.
