When the first three books of The Irish End Games by Susan Kiernan-Lewis were offered as single unit in a free trial, I downloaded them onto my Kindle. The premise looked promising: an American family is traveling in a remote part of Ireland when something (nuclear bomb? EMP?) takes out all the power and communication lines. They learn to fight together to survive the aftermath.
